We started with one autoclave and a complaint.

In 2003 Tan Wei Jie was a validation engineer at a contract manufacturer in Tuas. He spent most of that year writing deviation reports against a European sterilizer whose supplier could not explain its own control logic. The machine worked. The paperwork did not.

DeepMedic Pharma was incorporated the following March on a narrow proposition: build pharmaceutical equipment in Asia, for Asia, and ship it with documentation an inspector can actually follow. The first product was a 6 m³ steam sterilizer. The first customer was the plant that had filed the complaints.

Twenty-two years later the proposition has not changed, only its scale. Four segments. Twelve platforms. More than 3,100 units installed across 24 countries, of which we still hold live service contracts on 71%. Machines we sold in 2007 are still in qualified production.

in the order they happened.

Singapore financial district and Marina Bay
Singapore · headquarters since 2004

2004

Incorporation

DeepMedic Pharma Pte Ltd registered in Singapore. First product: the SR-6 steam sterilizer, six cubic metres, single door. Eleven staff in a rented bay in Tuas.

2007

First export order

Two sterilizers shipped to a generics manufacturer in Selangor. Both are still in service, now on their fourth control system retrofit.

2009

ISO 13485 certification

Quality management system certified for medical device manufacture, opening the hospital and device-maker channel.

2011

Solid Dose Technologies

Acquisition of a Johor tablet-tooling workshop establishes the second segment and the Senai fabrication base.

2014

Tuas Biomedical Park, Plant 1

18,400 m² purpose-built facility with an in-house ISO 7 test cleanroom — the first in Singapore owned by an equipment maker rather than a drug manufacturer.

2016

SGX Mainboard listing

Initial public offering raises S$96M, funding the aseptic isolator programme.

2019

DM-IS series launched

First DeepMedic barrier isolator. Aseptic Processing Systems becomes the largest segment within four years.

2021

Suzhou applications centre

A demonstration and service facility in Greater China, and the appointment of a resident Representative Officer.

2023

Jurong Precision Centre

9,600 m² machining and metrology facility. Critical rotating components brought back in-house.

2026

Senai expansion completed

24,000 m² fabrication centre with orbital welding to ASME IX, lifting vessel capacity by 60%.

What makes us different

Three claims we can be held to.

Claim 01

The documentation is the product

Our qualification packages are written by the engineers who designed the machine, not a technical-writing subcontractor. Design specification, material traceability, FAT and SAT protocols, calibration records and a firmware build hash bound to the serial number — supplied as a matter of course, not as a paid extra.

Claim 02

We are eight time zones closer

A European supplier answers a line-down call tomorrow. We answer it this afternoon. Field engineers are based in Singapore, Johor, Suzhou, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok and Mumbai, and our median on-site response across FY2025 was 19 hours.

Claim 03

Twenty-year parts, in writing

Every platform carries a contractual 20-year spares and support commitment from date of shipment. Where an electronic component goes end-of-life, we fund the redesign — the customer re-qualifies the change, but does not pay for our supply chain's problem.

Where we are

Six countries.
One machine shop culture.

Design authority stays in Singapore. Fabrication scales in Johor. Service sits next to the customer.
