A segment is a document set, not a product line.

We group our business by the regulatory argument a customer has to make, not by the machine's shape. An isolator and a filling line sit in the same segment because a plant qualifies them against one Annex 1 case. A tablet press and a blister line sit together because they answer to the same batch record.

That is not a marketing taxonomy. It is why a customer running four DeepMedic platforms maintains one protocol library instead of four, and why our service engineers can cover a plant rather than a machine.

Aseptic Processing Systems

Our largest and fastest-growing segment. Barrier isolators, restricted-access barrier systems, vial and syringe filling lines, depyrogenation tunnels and production lyophilisers — the equipment that stands between a sterile product and the room it is made in.

The 2022 revision of EU GMP Annex 1 changed this market permanently. Open filling under laminar flow is no longer defensible for new lines; the contamination control strategy has to be designed in. That is a documentation problem before it is a hardware problem, which suits us.

Growth driver: biologics fill-finish capacity across India, China and South Korea, where customers need Annex 1 compliance on a timeline European suppliers will not commit to.

Solid Dose Technologies

Rotary tablet presses, fluid-bed granulators and dryers, capsule fillers, coaters and blister lines. The oldest end of the pharmaceutical industry, and the one where the economics are least forgiving.

Our position here is not speed — plenty of suppliers will quote you more tablets per hour. It is containment and data. Every platform is rated to OEB 4 for potent compounds, and every press logs per-tablet compression force into the batch record rather than a rolling average. When a generics manufacturer has to explain a content-uniformity excursion, the answer is in the machine.

This segment grew 3.6% in FY2025 — the slowest in the group, and honestly so. Generics capital spending across the region was flat.

Sterilisation & Utilities

Where the company started. Pharmaceutical steam sterilizers built to EN 285, Water-for-Injection generators, pure steam generators and the clean utility distribution that connects them — all to ASME BPE surface finish and drainability requirements.

This is unglamorous, long-lived equipment. A sterilizer we shipped in 2007 is still qualified and running in Selangor, on its fourth control retrofit. That is the business: the install base is an annuity, and it is why 26% of group revenue is recurring.

The segment also carries our obsolescence obligation. Fourteen funded redesigns since 2016 have originated here, because twenty-year-old machines outlive their PLCs.

Inspection & Digital

Automated visual inspection, container closure integrity testing, serialisation and aggregation, and the MES connectors that carry the data out. Our smallest segment and our fastest-growing, at +31.3%.

The growth is regulatory. Serialisation mandates under the EU Falsified Medicines Directive, the US DSCSA and China's NMPA rules have made track-and-trace non-optional for anyone exporting. Most of our customers are retrofitting existing lines rather than buying new ones, which is a different sale — and one where being able to touch the machine matters more than the price.

Every module in this segment ships as a GAMP 5 categorised system with a validation package, because Annex 11 does not care that it is only a camera.

  • Preventive maintenance — scheduled against running hours from the machine, not a calendar we invented.
  • Calibration — instruments returned to a traceable standard, certificates issued against the serial number.
  • Re-qualification support — protocols and execution assistance for periodic review or after a change.
  • Retrofit & obsolescence — control system upgrades that keep a 2007 machine in a 2026 data integrity regime.
  • Spares depots — Singapore, Suzhou and Mumbai, holding critical items for every platform in the catalogue.
  • Operator training — delivered at your plant on your machine, in English, Mandarin or Bahasa.
  • Field notices — issued within one business day of a discovered quality-impacting defect. Three in FY2025, all self-identified.
  • Emergency response — 24-hour line for contracted customers, answered by an engineer who can read your logs.
